Widian

Widian is a niche perfume house founded in 2014 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, by Ali Aljaberi, originally named AJ Arabia. In 2016, the brand adopted its current name: Widian, an Arabic word meaning "valleys," particularly evoking the sandy expanses of Liwa and the lush landscapes of Al Ain. The stylistic hallmark of the house is the dialogue between Arabic olfactory tradition and great French perfumery: Aljaberi developed his training in Paris, where he collaborated with internationally renowned master perfumers including Jean-Claude Astier, Marie Salamagne, Sophie Labbé, and Nathalie Lorson. The bottles, with their sharp geometries and architectural aesthetics, are inspired by the arches and domes of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, making each package a visual tribute to Arab heritage. All the fragrances from the house are designed to be worn without distinction of gender.
