Valera is a Swiss brand specialized in the design and production of appliances for hair care and styling. Its roots date back to 1955, when the small company Sorel was founded in Milan, dedicated to the production of hairdryers for third parties. In 1978, the business moved to Switzerland, where Ligo Electric SA was established with a production facility in Ligornetto, in the Canton of Ticino: it is from the Swiss valley where the factory is located that the brand takes its name. In 1990, Ligo Electric SA launched Valera as an independent brand, positioning it right away as a specialist in the hair appliance sector. Today, Valera develops, designs, and produces both consumer and professional appliances in-house, actively collaborating with hairdressers and trichologists during the research and development phase. Its products are distributed in over 80 countries.
