For almost 50 years, our specialist phytotherapy team has been providing you with exceptional plants of recognized quality.| We choose our suppliers with the utmost care to obtain the best plants, al giusto price. This is why we implement responsible sourcing using an equitable approach.| Origins and uses of the red vine | The Red Vine is a plant belonging to the Vitaceae botanical family. It is native to Asia Minor, North Africa and Europe. It was already cultivated in the times of Ancient Greece. In Mesopotamia it was considered “the herb of life”.| Its name derives from the red pulp vine cultivar.| Hippocrates talked about it in his books and did studies about it. It was in the 17th century that the Red Vine was used for the first time in herbal medicine. In 1652 the herbalist, botanist and doctor Nicolas Culperer recommended its use for several reasons.| Its leaves, fruits and seeds are mainly used in herbal medicine.| It generally grows in the Mediterranean regions. The harvest is carried out from May to September, or sometimes later in autumn due to the red color of the leaves that develop at this time of year. Appreciates clayey, silica-rich and sunny soils.| Appearance of the red vine | The Red Vine is a woody climbing plant whose tendrils can reach 30 meters in length. It blooms from May to June, and its small green flowers are gathered in clusters which then become fruit. Its leaves are palmate and toothed.| The Red Vine can be found in different forms, both as a food supplement, both as a dry extract and as an infusion.| Packaging produced in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Convenient resealable and reusable Kraft bag.
