It grows mainly in South Africa.| Rooibos is highly appreciated in herbal medicine thanks to the infusion of its leaves. It is a plant that does not contain caffeine and is now consumed all over the world. Rooibos is sometimes drunk with milk, hot or cold, or with sugar.| This plant is often called "red tea", although the product does not contain tea.| It is a plant that grows at altitude, between 450 and 900 m. It loves Mediterranean climates and survives snow and frost when it reaches adulthood.| It is the oxidation of the leaves that gives them this red color: essentially, Rooibos leaves are green when they are not oxidized. Thisultima has a more herbaceous flavor than the red variety.| Preparing Rooibos is quite simple: the leaves are left to infuse for 7-10 minutes in boiling water.
