In case of acute inflammatory states or trauma affecting the wrist joint and the sellar and proximal thumb joint, the rigid wrist and thumb brace ManuLoc Rhizo immobilizes the wrist joint and fixes the thumb using a special support.
The structure of the orthosis can be modified following a multi-stage therapy, with a progressive increase in thumb mobility, until the fastener is completely removed.

When pain relief is within reach
Whether due to a fall down the stairs or due to chronic wear and tear on the joint: when the wrist joint is affected, the thumb joints can also come into play. And this combination can make every hand movement a real torment. The first need is to stabilize and immobilize. In a second phase it is possible to mobilize the thumb, gradually allowing greater movements by acting on the Velcro strap.

ManuLoc Rhizo combines the functions and technical characteristics of a wrist orthosis and a thumb orthosis. The anatomical, flat aluminum splints offer secure support to the wrist joint and thumb. For optimal positioning these splints can be further adapted by an orthopedic technician.
The Velcro tab at the thumb can be loosened modo to gradually restore the mobility of the basal joint of the thumb. Once mobility has regained, the thumb support can be removed. In this modo it will again be possible to carry out gripping movements with all fingers; all this while the wrist joint remains stabilized for the moment.
The breathable material with integrated holes allows optimal transpiration of the skin, thus avoiding sweating and itching of the thumb and wrist joint. The practical Velcro closure allows you to put on and take off the orthosis with maximum ease using your free hand.

Product care instructions
It is possible to wash ManuLoc Rhizo separately at 30° with liquid detergent. Before washing, remove the glass closures if possible or fix them in the appropriate spaces, in order to avoid damaging the fabric. Do not use dryer.
