Coalgan® is a hemostatic product; It is made up of calcium alginate fibers which induce platelet aggregation, thus shortening clot formation times and clotting time. Indications Coalgan is made up of calcium alginate fibers (a natural molecule extracted from brown algae) which gel on the surface in contact with the blood. Coalgan is indicated for bleeding: from the nose, skin, mouth, puncture sites. Coalgan is effective in patients taking anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents.
