The story of La Saponaria is one of a passion that has grown over time, transformed into a job, and matured year after year. It all started with Luigi's collection of soaps when he was still a child, and with experiments with Lucia in the attic of their home, taking into account the advice of Grandma Gina. Tradition blends with innovation, ancient knowledge with the desire to discover and experiment with new solutions and ecological and sustainable ingredients. Thanks to local artisan markets and fairs, along with collaboration with the GAS of their city, their passion first turned into a job and then into a larger project.

In 2007, La Saponaria was born, a zero-impact micro-laboratory. Their mission is to create conscious cosmetics that are good for the skin and the environment. They began collaborating with small local farmers to use natural and zero-impact ingredients. Over the years, they continued to experiment and create new products, expanding their range of solid and plastic-free cosmetics. In 2023, La Saponaria transformed into a Benefit Corporation, aiming to pursue common good purposes and have a positive impact on society and the environment. Their new motto is "Together to make a difference, one shower at a time".
