CaligaLoc is an ankle brace used for conservative treatment in major injuries to the ligaments of the tibio-tarsal joint or post-operatively when una partial immobilization is recommended. The CaligaLoc stabilizing orthosis prevents supination of the foot and can essere be used 24 hours a day as protection against unexpected or excessive stress.

In detail:
In the event of severe injuries or after surgery, it may essere be useful at first to partially immobilize the ankle. CaligaLoc stabilizes both the upper and lower part of the ankle thanks to an outer shell with an L-shaped design made of plastic material and the extended sole. The outer part of the foot housing is slightly raised at the heel. In this modo the foot tilts inward, relieving the outer ligaments and preventing the onset of chronic instability and new sprains.
The anatomical splint made of plastic material can essere be individually adjusted thanks to the adjustable Velcro straps. In addition, CaligaLoc is equipped with soft padding on the inner side that makes it comfortable to use. In the presence of marked swelling, the padding can essere be trimmed by an orthopedic technician.
Thanks to the extended sole, CaligaLoc partially immobilizes the ankle and limits its range of motion, both day and night. During sleep, without the orthosis, the foot could assume the incorrect “tiptoe” position, which places excessive stress on the anterior outer ligament. The CaligaLoc stabilizing orthosis therefore has a positive effect on the healing process and allows you to move in a modo correct way and without fear. After consulting specialized medical staff, you can wear the orthosis with or without a shoe. You can also begin physiotherapy and find the right routine to support healing through movement.

Conservative therapy in cases of severe ankle injuries
Post-operative protection following ligament suture/reconstruction
Chronic instability of the upper and/or lower ankle with contraindications to surgery
Post-traumatic sinus tarsi syndrome and decompensated instability of the subtalar joint, also as a temporary aid for stabilization
