Philips Avent is a British brand specializing in newborn and infant care, established in 1984 as an evolution of a project linked to the company Cannon Rubber. The starting point was the rethinking of the traditional baby bottle: wide neck for easy filling and cleaning, odorless and tasteless silicone nipple, integrated anti-colic system. In 2006, the Dutch group Philips acquired the brand, which has since operated as Philips Avent, based in Amsterdam with production largely in the United Kingdom. The brand's mission has remained unchanged: to design solutions for breastfeeding, mealtime, and early childhood with an approach inspired by the natural physiology of the newborn and validated by healthcare professionals.
