The Bigardier (Amer Orange) is a tree 5 to 10 m tall. Native to India, it was introduced to Europe during the Crusades. The Moors cultivated it intensively near Seville in Spain. It bears a smaller fruit than the soft orange and has una dye for rougher skin of green or yellow.
