Sooud

SoOud is a niche perfume house founded in France in 2010, a project by perfumer Stéphane Humbert Lucas in collaboration with the specialized distributor Intertrade Europe. The name itself encapsulates the brand's identity: it evokes the noble Arabic name Saoud and highlights oud, one of the most precious and iconic raw materials in oriental perfumery. SoOud's philosophy is to create an authentic dialogue between two seemingly distant worlds — the deep sensuality and rare raw materials of the Middle East on one side, and the compositional precision and formal elegance of the French perfumery tradition on the other. The design of the bottles also reflects this tension: the three-level structure, opaque-transparent-opaque, is a direct aesthetic reference to the veil. The fragrances are crafted by perfumers with European training and are offered in two distinct concentrations: Eau Fine, lighter and suitable for daytime use, and Parfum Nectar, in a smaller format but with high olfactory intensity, designed for evening occasions.
