Liis is a niche fragrance house born in California, founded by Alissa Sullivan and Leslie Hendin: two women who grew up just minutes apart in Marin County, in the Bay Area, without ever meeting until they found themselves as adults in London, where their shared passion for perfume gave rise to the project. Alissa honed her training at the ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles, while Leslie brings to the brand a background as an artist and self-taught perfumer. Liis fragrances are produced in California and arise from collaboration with prominent international noses. The brand's philosophy revolves around conscious perfumery: the formulas are vegan, cruelty-free, and allergy-tested, free from preservatives, colorants, phthalates, and sulfates, with organic sugarcane alcohol as a base. The result is a collection of eau de parfum designed to be worn every day, with the same naturalness as a second skin.
