Kasho is the professional brand dedicated to scissors for hairdressers and barbers of the KAI Group, a Japanese company based in Seki — the Japanese city historically linked to blade forging — active since 1908. In 1961, KAI launched Kasho as a specialized line for cutting tools in the hairdressing sector, transferring the same metallurgical philosophy applied to the group's knives and precision tools to the professional scissors. Each pair of Kasho scissors is entirely made in Japan, from Japanese stainless steel, by specialized artisans called shisho, who imprint their mark on each piece as a personal certification act. The most recognizable technical feature is the use of two alloys of stainless steel with different hardness: this combination balances the sharpness resistance with the flexibility of the blade, reducing friction at the cutting point.
