Biotherm

Biotherm is a brand of skincare products created in Munich. Founded in 1952, the young biochemist Jeanine Marissal discovered the extraordinary regenerating properties of thermal Plankton, which arise from its exceptional affinity biologica with our skin. Jeanine Marissal laid the foundations of the brand, formulating hypotheses and testing them on herself to create products with natural ingredients that provide effective solutions to women's problems and ensure pleasure. After being acquired by L'Oréal, Biotherm inaugurated a state-of-the-art research center and manufacturing facility in the heart of Monaco, inaugurated by Grace Kelly.

In 1985, Biotherm becomes the first beauty brand to develop a premium line for men's skin care, and today Biotherm Homme remains the number 1 brand in the world in the male skin care high quality. In 1994, thanks to a unique and natural fermentation process developed by the brand's bio scientists, called FirmogenesiTM, Biotherm is at the forefront of biotechnology in skincare. In 2012, the brand created the program Biotherm Water Lovers to improve the futuro of our oceans and raise consumer awareness of the threat of plastic pollution in the oceans. In 2021, Biotherm becomes the main executive partner of the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, helping to support the actions of Oceano for the oceans and raising public awareness of the current fragile situation of the ocean.
