Astor

Astor is a decorative cosmetics brand of German origin, founded in 1952 in Mainz as a subsidiary of Blendax-Werke under the name Margaret Astor. The name is inspired by the Astor family, from which the founder Wilhelm Boelcke's mother-in-law descended. It quickly grew during the post-war economic boom to become a reference in the European market, and today the brand is part of the international group Coty Inc. In 2001, the brand was updated to its current short form Astor, while maintaining its original mission: to offer accessible decorative cosmetics, formulated with attention to color trends and everyday wearability.
