S.T. Dupont is a French luxury house founded in Paris in 1872 by Simon Tissot-Dupont, originally from Savoy. The business began with artisanal leather goods — trunks, briefcases, travel accessories — aimed at an elite clientele. Throughout the twentieth century, the brand expanded its repertoire: in 1941, the first luxury lighter was introduced, in 1952 the Ligne 1 model (the so-called "D57"), and in 1973 the first high-end silver pen. S.T. Dupont is now a recognizable name for its craftsmanship in precious metals, leathers, and Chinese lacquer — a stylistic signature that characterizes every produced item. The historic manufacturing hub is located in Faverges, Haute-Savoie, where artisanal savoir-faire is passed down through generations. In 1997, a collaboration with Interparfums was initiated for the development of fragrances, and in 1998, the first branded eau de toilette was launched, one for women and one for men, opening a fragrance line consistent with the house's aesthetic.
